Rhoda Butler is a life long resident of Contra Costa Country resident. Prior to accepting a seat on the First 5 Commission she worked in a variety of positions including leadership. After serving 30 years as a civil service employee she retired in 2018. Since 2014 She has obtained two Master Degrees in Leadership Coaching and Industrial Psychology. She has obtained two certifications in mental health and couples and family counseling specializing in family and aging adults. As a mother of 7 and grandmother of 5 and her experience with working with inner city kids in the East Bay Pop Warner program she supports our future generations and families. As an aging adult she is passionate about the aging adult community therefore she is a member of the Council of Aging in Contra Costa County. Since 2018, she has been homeschooling through Vista Oaks in Bryon.
