Easy as Prezi: A Powerpoint Alternative
Move beyond a bullet list presentation in Powerpoint and try Prezi, a more visually interesting alternative to Powerpoint and Keynote.
Simple to use and engaging, Prezi is a free online tool that takes the work of data visualists like Edward Tufte and Stephen Few and applies it to entire presentations. Using a large virtual whiteboard, users can literally map a presentation from big picture to details. Viewers never lose sight of the context.
I recently hosted a short webinar for the American Evaluation Association’s Coffee Break series on Prezi, which drew a record number of participants. Follow the link below for an abbreviated version of this webinar. You’ll see an example of a prezi and how easy it is to add text, pdfs, photos, and even videos to a presentation.
