Alternate Commissioner representing Employment & Human Services
Sarah Reich serves as Director of the Community Services Bureau for Contra Costa County’s Employment and Human Services Department, where she oversees programs that strengthen children, families, and communities through early childhood education, family support, and community services. Sarah is a Contra Costa County native, former Head Start student, and now services as the Head Start Director for the County’s largest and longest-running Head Start program.
Sarah is committed to expanding opportunities for children and families through collaborative partnerships, strategic leadership, and high-quality public services. She brings over 15 years of public service and experience in organizational leadership, operations, and community engagement, with a focus on building strong systems that improve outcomes for young children and their families.
