Local Services & Programs

First 5 Contra Costa funds several programs for families that are free of charge and offered virtually or at locations throughout the county, including parenting classes, family resource centers, screenings for children, and parent leadership. 

First 5 Contra Costa also partners with programs that help families find information about basic needs, (including housing, food, legal aid, crisis support, etc.), child care, and parent support groups.

Ready Kids East County is a dedicated effort to center the experiences of African American and Black families to fully support families with young children every step of the way. We partner with families and organizations in East County to ensure that African American and Black families have access to the necessary resources and support during their early years to thrive.
