Our Commission

First 5 Contra Costa is guided by its Board of Commissioners which includes 9 members and 9 alternate members. The Commission provides guidance and oversight to First 5 Contra Costa, and helps the public agency fulfill its mission. 

The Commissioners include one member of the Board of Supervisors, a representative of the Health Services Department, Director of the County Employment & Human Services Department, a representative from the County Children & Family Services, and five members appointed by the Board of Supervisors.

Commission Meetings

Join us! Meetings are open to the public and packets are posted 96 hours in advance. Meetings are generally held every other month on the second Monday at 6 pm at First 5 Contra Costa’s office.
