First 5 Contra Costa uses research and data to facilitate collective learning about the problems we face and the solutions to address them.
We approach our research with inquiry and acknowledge that data comes in many forms. We learn from population and administrative data, and we learn from the stories and experiences we hear from families, providers, and community members. We aim to use a variety of methods to advance inquiry, discovery and solution-seeking.

Measuring Our Progress
First 5 Contra Costa recently adopted a Results Based Accountability framework to measure its progress towards achieving its vision. This framework will allow us to on how we are making a difference in our intended outcomes.
